The Scottish Highlands ( Part 1 )

Photo 14-07-2015 11 54 33My brother wanted to take us on a fishing holiday to the Scottish Highlands…

I don’t fish and it’s a very long drive from Brighton, but I was up for the experience and I knew it would be beautiful…I couldn’t have anticipated the scale of the beauty though…Photo 11-07-2015 20 50 50 We stopped off near to Penrith for the night, as it was over half way, before setting off in the morning on the long road to Glen Etive…Photo 12-07-2015 16 30 53 Photo 12-07-2015 16 38 31 Photo 12-07-2015 16 56 40 where a mountain was basically the back garden…Photo 12-07-2015 18 09 12 Photo 12-07-2015 18 11 16 Photo 12-07-2015 18 12 07 We were taught how to fly fish on the first day…I caught nothing all week but my son caught rainbow and brown trout and my brother caught a salmon…Photo 13-07-2015 11 24 30 Photo 13-07-2015 11 25 33 Photo 13-07-2015 11 28 49 Photo 13-07-2015 11 33 02 Photo 13-07-2015 11 47 42 Photo 13-07-2015 11 52 52 Photo 13-07-2015 12 31 10 Photo 13-07-2015 12 32 41 Photo 13-07-2015 12 39 12 Photo 13-07-2015 15 43 46 Photo 13-07-2015 15 54 22 (1) Photo 13-07-2015 16 29 55 Photo 13-07-2015 16 47 56 Photo 13-07-2015 16 58 05 Photo 13-07-2015 16 58 31 Photo 13-07-2015 16 59 44 Photo 13-07-2015 17 41 39 Photo 13-07-2015 17 42 58 Photo 13-07-2015 17 51 00There was no internet….I hadn’t realised how full my head had become with digital business, and with a phone and 3G signal at least 11 and a half miles away up a very winding road, I was able to clear my head simply with the outdoors…

There was such an amazing overload of green, that when I did eventually organise some bits I’d collected from walking, they didn’t seem to represent where I was clearly enough…

How magical. Trying very hard to not be too envious of you, but Scotland is top of my list of places to visit. Thank you for letting me visit through your wonderful photographs.
