24 Mar Tuesday…in the garden

image Things are a bit hectic at the moment…at this time of year I edit and put together an artists magazine which is always a load of sitting at the computer e-mailing backwards and forwards with the graphic designer. It always feels like a great achievement when it’s done, but it also robs me of some daylight and fresh air!

However I nipped out to the garden at lunchtime today to say a quick hello to my plant family!

I won’t do much word stuff, so hopefully the pictures will do most of the talking today!image image image image …new hollyhock growthimage …love-in-a-mist and valerian seedlings amongst some tulip leaves and lavender image The protective covers are off the Giant Echium…fingers crossed there’s no frost on its way…image The Geraniums are getting used to being outdoors again…image …new buds on the Virginia Creeperimage ( an abundance of dysfunctional lighting! )image image image …the end of the Snowdropsimage …and a frost bitten African Violet ( I thought it would be ok outside…am hoping it will recover! )image

    beautiful photos, good luck with all you have to do. My muscari are blooming on my balcony, it makes me soooo happy! Loooooove the photo with the tulips in the old galvanized bucket.

      Thank you so much!! I love the the garden is coming alive…and as for galvanised buckets; I don’t think you can ever have too many! 😉

    Aha! Do I spy a hollyhock? What a lovely set of glimpses into your garden. We hare a love of old terracotta and hagstones I think

      Yes, a Holly hock already ( although it has some weird orange spots on which I’ll have to keep an eye on! )…I’ll hopefully get a few seedlings from my Autumnal scatterings! 🙂
